For the woman behind Gainesville, Va.-based The Fertile Burb, love doesn’t begin in a studio or storefront — it begins in the soil.

Weddings are beautiful. They’re also wild — messy, unpredictable, even downright chaotic. As photographers and cofounders of So Tender is Humanity, a wedding photography studio, Alex and Anastasiia have witnessed it all: rain falling on outdoor vows, family tensions bubbling over, vendors who never arrive.
